Llanerolandia (2000)
This video loop deals with the Venezuelan Plains —an important site in the iconography of Venezuelan identity. It is constructed as a continuous temporality, which shows a sequence shot of an image of a Venezuelan llanero (inhabitant of the Plains) posited as a local heroic figure, which I play with by inserting him into the video in different manipulated forms that is accompanied by a varied soundtrack that evokes additional images.
